At C. Bechstein Germany and C. Bechstein Europe, piano-makers build musical masterpieces by hand. The expertise required to create pianos with outstanding sound is a heritage that now lives on at the Seifhennersdorf production site.

A team of 150 top craftsmen and technicians, old and young, are fascinated by the singularity of the Bechstein brand and pass on their skills and knowledge to each succeeding generation of piano-makers.

Estonia grand and concert pianos are the result of an ideal - to craft inspirational instruments by hand using only the best suited, and therefore limited, materials, parts and experienced craftsmen in Europe.

To build a truly handcrafted piano in the European tradition, Estonia sets the standard and then seeks out only proven European partners to supply each selected component in the pianos it builds.

A Shigeru piano is the result of much more than the intelligent application of material, labor and design. It is an art form born not from the head, but from the heart. Thus, the craftsman does far more than simply “build” the piano—he brings it to life.

The sensitive nurturing of every part, every joint, every subtle nuance vests each piano with an intangible quality—a soul—that lives on from generation to generation. And those who own a Shigeru piano know that they possess not merely an instrument, but a partner in the musical pursuit of dreams.

One of the very rare 100% German made pianos of today and known for its “golden tone”, the Blüthner piano is the “poet among pianos”. The unique singing quality of the upper register, which derives from the use of patented Blüthner Alliquot stringing method, led Peter Tchaikovsky ro exclaim: “Bluthner is the perfection of the sound.”

Its history of 160 years of master craftsmanship has profited numerous royal courts of Europe, including Her Majesty the Queen of England, famous composers and pianists such as Sergei Rachmaninof and Franz Liszt, as well as celebrated artists such as The Beatles and Andrew Lloyd Webber, who owns 12 Blüthner pianos.
